Just four months into our grand Saddle Creek Weddings plan and the construction development is only getting more exciting. While some days the construction process seems slow, other days you look back and can’t believe the project will be ready in just five short months.
When we say things are starting to come together, we aren’t kidding.
Structures Take Shape: Let’s start with the fact that we can actually see the outline of the chapel and receptions barns. And did we even mention how big they are?! Framing continues on both our chapel barn and reception barn, transforming what was once a big pile of dirt into a place where dreams will come true. With one building almost completely enclosed, it’s only a matter of time before we start to see new projects like air conditioning and our rugged metal roof.
Building Bridges: Details are everything when you are trying to individualize your business. For us, the details included finding a craftsman that would carry through the rustic details as well as fit the natural, homey feel we were determined to achieve. After some searching, Red Wood Bridges undoubtedly fit the criteria to a tee. The foot bridge that connects the parking lot to the ceremony and reception buildings was custom made with cedar wood and took several weeks to form. Once completed, the bridge pieces were shipped from Arkansas to Dripping Springs and then built on site. The team took almost five hours to put this masterpiece together and will now serve as one of the many locations at Saddle Creek Weddings for one-of-a-kind photos.
Corn hole & Fire Pit: When we set out to bring Saddle Creek Weddings to life, we knew we wanted the location and venue to be unique. We found that as we continued to strategize, we needed a handful of personal touches. Things that would not only bring the venue into 2018, but also give it a timeless feel for every guest that sets foot on the property. We knew that by adding fun things for guests to do, we would be truly offering reasons to settle in and enjoy the entire evening instead of heading out after cake cutting. Our corn hole board games will be custom built and our fire pit will deliver the perfect level of cozy year round. We are so excited for these fun features! Did someone say s’mores?
